Key Responsibilities- Design and Drafting: Create detailed drawings, plans, and schematics using REVIT and AutoCAD, or other drafting software, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and other team members to integrate building systems into overall building design, resolving conflicts and ensuring efficient spatial allocation.
- Documentation and Quality Control: Review and revise drawings to ensure they reflect design changes, meet regulatory requirements, and align with project objectives. Conduct quality checks to verify completeness and accuracy of drawings.
- Technical Communication: Effectively communicate with internal team members and external stakeholders to clarify design intent, address technical issues, and support project milestones and deadlines.
- Project Management: Manage and coordinate project drafting requirements (small, medium, and large) from inception through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Technical Expertise: Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to maintain and enhance our firm's competitive edge.
- Quality Assurance: Carry out peer reviews and quality assurance checks for assigned projects.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting within the building services sector.
- Technical Skills: High levels of proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Problem-Solving and Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Eligibility: Must have the right to work in Australia.
