About the Opportunity

The Ocean Gateway Associate plays a pivotal role in advancing Flexport's mission to simplify global trade for all. With over 10,000 clients and suppliers connected across 109 countries, this position will collaborate closely with various teams within the company to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement performance metrics to measure operations efficiency in China.
  • Drive performance management of freight forwarding, trucking, CFS, and customs partners by leveraging global metrics, targets, dashboards, and reporting to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to setting performance targets for partners, local teams, and establishing governance cadence (QBRs, monthly reviews, weekly reports) with top-tier network partners.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to the local execution team, identifying gaps and developing solutions focused on process standardization.
  • Resolve client issues promptly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination, escalating issues as needed with internal teams.
  • Identify training needs and design/execute training programs to enhance operational quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience in Business Analysis or a similar role in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Consulting.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats, refining and building dashboards as an analyst and implementing/gathering feedback from partners as an associate.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
