AGL Energy is seeking an experienced NetSuite Developer to join our Customer Markets Technology business area, providing dedicated support to our Sustainable Business Energy Solutions Technology (SBES) team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle NetSuite, with expertise in software development, and a deep understanding of its functionality and technical configuration.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Level 4 support for Oracle NetSuite, addressing complex technical issues escalated from Level 3 support.
  • Developing and implementing enhancements to the Oracle NetSuite application as part of continuous improvement.
  • Working closely with the Technology Lead to ensure alignment of Oracle NetSuite functionalities with AGL's overall technology strategy and best practices.
  • Monitoring and optimising the performance of the Oracle NetSuite system to meet business operational standards and efficiency metrics.
  • Managing, executing, and maintaining system integrations.
  • Documenting all coding changes, fixes, and enhancements in line with company policy and industry best practices.
  • Conducting thorough testing of new developments in a sandbox environment before deployment to ensure stability and minimal disruptions to business operations.

About You

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced NetSuite Developer with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong experience working with Oracle NetSuite and a deep understanding of its functionality and technical configuration.
  • Software development experience and expertise with languages and platforms used by Oracle NetSuite, such as JavaScript (SuiteScript 2.x), and SQL.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to clearly record processes, actions, and development changes for compliance and operational continuity.
  • Strong understanding of the IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
