Operations Manager – Northern Territory
Wood Plc is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead our Northern Territory operations, supporting our Oil & Gas clientele as part of our strategic growth plan. Based in Darwin, this is a permanent role available as full-time or part-time (job share) basis.
Our Operations business in APAC West delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry, with long-term partnerships with prominent producers in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will be accountable for setting up, growing, developing, and delivering the performance of our Darwin office. You will thrive in the challenge of establishing a new office in Darwin and building a team of project personnel across project management, engineering, construction & commissioning, and project controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Being an Australian citizen or eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia
- Having a degree qualification in Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field, or degree qualified in a commercial/business discipline with significant experience in a technical organisation
Ideal candidates will have experience in similar Operations Director, Functional Manager roles or proven experience in Delivery Manager roles with a track record of successful operational and strategic delivery within the Oil & Gas sector.
You will have a passion for energy security and energy transition, with the vision to navigate energy models of the future, coupled with experience partnering with clients to be more efficient, sustainable, and optimised to deliver the best energy mix in their respective markets.
As a commercially and technically astute leader, you will be a savvy negotiator and mediator, capable of engendering an entrepreneurial spirit of cooperation and energising diverse teams to adopt best practice, while driving optimal performance with safety at the heart of everything we do.
You will be customer-focused, with the ability to develop sincere and open relationships with internal and external stakeholders, balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of Wood Plc.
