About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Lead DevOps Platform Engineer to join our Software Delivery Platform Enablement team at Macquarie. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our engineering experience and building a modern software delivery platform to ensure faster and more reliable software delivery.

As a digital bank, software engineering is at the core of what we do. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain team-owned products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders from other teams or platforms to resolve issues impacting delivery and ensure high standards for code quality, testing, and security.
  • Participate in incident management and team roster activities, showing ownership when problems arise in your space.
  • Run post-mortems and ensure any actions are completed to improve applications over time.
Requirements
  • Strong technical background in building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Highly experienced with Linux and scripting using Golang or Shell or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with deployments to Kubernetes (via Kubernetes Manifests, Helm or Kustomize), and experience with Pod Autoscaling.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD strategies including Canary, Blue/Green deployments, and SLSA framework.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating pipelines with security tooling.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and run complex engineering initiatives.
  • Product company experience with an understanding of how to build great products in an Agile environment.
  • Computer science education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organisation.
