Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Architect to join our team. As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will be responsible for providing architectural analysis and expertise to support the business owner and the implementation team to deliver fit-for-purpose, compliant, and strategically aligned solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in client-facing roles to contribute towards the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of complex and large-scale technology solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in creating complex AF hierarchies, implementing and troubleshooting analytics-based calculations, including event frames and roll-ups based on business requirements.
  • Awareness and knowledge of energy market and control room operations' best practices and standards would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal assistance.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience as a Solution/Enterprise Architect with at least 5-7 years in Utility Grid Operations (Control Room Apps/Services) or Electricity/Gas Market Operations.
  • Experience in SCADA, WAMS, and DER Management systems.
  • Experience in energy transition domain, grid operations, and asset & actor modeling.
  • Working experience of SCADA protocols (IEC104, ICCP), alarms & event processing, historian, network modeling, CIM framework, energy market operations, and control room operations.
  • Understanding of GE products – GridOS, AGC, AEMS, Operational Forecasting, and Dynamic Security Assessment (DSA).
  • Working experience (at least 3-5 years) of GE Products – GridOS, AGC, AEMS, Operational Forecasting.
  • Experience of using & deploying solutions in On-Prem containers (Kubernetes) and Cloud-based containers.
  • Experience working in private and public clouds.
  • Experience in Australian security regulations (SOCI, SONS, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD Tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstration of success as an independent worker.
  • Should have good troubleshooting skills to work on apps with medium/complex architecture.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and frequently changing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team in a diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
  • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
  • Good to have mining industry experience or experience in the resource sector.
  • Develop levels of architecture across the desired program of work.
  • Provides guidance to technical teams so detailed designs align with target architecture, standards, and patterns.
  • Provides input into Request for proposals/Information/Quotation.
  • Represents solutions in forums to obtain endorsement.
  • Maintains Enterprise Repository with architecture updates.
  • Support projects to ensure risk and issues are identified early and managed effectively.
  • Provides architectural governance to design, build, and operate phase.
  • Has a good grasp of security architecture, either at an infrastructure and network or application layer.
  • Understanding of software, hardware, security architecture frameworks, and technology trends.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen and an understanding of risk frameworks.
  • A good understanding of the energy industry, NIST CSF (or AESCSF), and its key challenges.
