Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydraulic Fitter to join our Production team in Altona North, Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting new fluid power and lubrication systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test new fluid power and lubrication systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Hydraulic Fitter
  • Essential proficiency in fault finding within intricate hydraulic systems
  • Mandatory skills in tube bending and hose making
  • Beneficial experience in constructing and charging hydraulic accumulators
  • Advantageous experience in operating a lathe and milling machine
Skills and Qualities
  • Exceptional planning, analytical problem-solving, and research skills
  • Proficiency in utilizing IT-based systems
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Commitment to ensuring tasks are meticulously executed and efficiently completed
  • Willingness to be hands-on and actively participate in the production process

The position will report to the Production Manager.
