Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our dynamic team in Wollongong. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and mechanical/electrical repairs on a wide range of mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and greasing moving parts
  • Conduct diagnostics and repairs on mobile equipment using diagnostic software and technical manuals
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to source parts and materials
  • Ensure safety principles and standards are adhered to on-site
  • Maintain accurate service records and timesheets
Requirements
  • A current Trade Certificate: Heavy Vehicle / Plant Mechanic / Auto Electrical (or equivalent)
  • Solid experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
  • Fault-finding skills with diagnostic software experience
  • Strong commitment to safety understanding WHS policies, hazard ID, and risk assessments
