Role Overview:

This APS4 role is a key position within our Risk and Analysis Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the management of Work, Health and Safety (WHS) incident and hazard notifications.

  • The incumbent will operate the WHS Helpdesk to provide timely, accurate, and appropriate information to external stakeholders.
  • They will process incident and hazard notifications, WHS concerns, and authorizations efficiently and accurately in our systems.
  • The role involves conducting initial assessments and analysis of incidents, referencing relevant WHS information and intelligence to inform risk-based decisions.
  • Additionally, they will contribute to reporting on emerging trends as requested.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing high-quality service delivery
  2. Maintaining effective communication with stakeholders
  3. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  4. Collaborating with other teams to achieve common goals

Education and Experience

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or similar experience is desirable but not essential.

Eligibility and Conditions of Employment

  • Australian citizenship
  • Character clearance
  • Employee Health Declaration
  • Six months probation period
  • Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
  • Some travel may be required
