Sterilisation Assistant

Sterilization is a critical process in any healthcare setting. As a sterilisation assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that equipment and instruments are properly cleaned and disinfected.

The Central Sterilising Service Department relies on the expertise of skilled professionals like yourself to maintain high standards of infection control.

Your duties will include:

  • Working under routine supervision to perform routine tasks and meet demands.
  • Developing computer skills to learn relevant programs associated with CSSD.
  • Demonstrating attention to detail and ability to undertake repetitive tasks.
  • Participating in a seven day rotating roster with a high proportion of afternoon shifts.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology at TAFE or willingness to obtain within 2 years.
