Job Title: Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Professional to support and influence safe working practices across the site, provide expert advice, and drive initiatives that ensure our people go home safe every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert safety guidance to support a strong safety culture
  • Facilitate open and constructive responses to safety events, focusing on learning and sustainable improvements in work practices
  • Promote occupational health and wellbeing through collaboration with occupational health professionals
  • Develop and deliver engaging training to build capability in risk management, emergency response, and safe work practices
  • Support the development and testing of emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid readiness
  • Analyse and report on safety data to support compliance with legislation and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Degree qualifications in WHS Management, Applied Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualifications and/or experience
  • Strong knowledge of current safety legislation and ability to integrate these requirements into practical solutions
  • Proven experience in applying safety management systems, facilitating learning-focused investigations, and supporting continual improvement in health and safety
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with ability to engage effectively at all levels and manage confidential or sensitive information
