At RSM Australia, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for our clients. You will also assist with the management of junior staff and team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review work papers and ensure appropriate evidence is documented;
  • Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client is operating and how the client is positioned in the industry;
  • Share knowledge, best practices and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team;
  • Communicate with manager and partners on work flow and matters relating to staff performance;
  • Review work of junior team members;
  • Ensure processing of information into the Firm's systems has been properly recorded;
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current, legal and accounting reporting standards;
  • Identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues;
  • Analyse management accounting reports and provide advice to clients;
  • Review income tax returns for individuals, companies, super funds, partnerships and trusts; and
  • Deliver complex tax planning for clients.

Requirements:

  • Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major;
  • Completed CA or equivalent;
  • 4-5 years' experience in Professional Services;
  • Strong Communication Skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
  • Committed to continuing professional development;
  • Previous experience managing a team (desirable).

Salary Guide: $86,000 – $96,000 exclusive of superannuation.
