About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientist II to join our Media & Buffering Preparation (MBP) team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimised operational areas, dispensing of raw materials, preparation of media and buffer solutions, manifold preparation and autoclaving, filter integrity testing, and performing equipment testing and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accountability for production of biopharmaceutical solutions and process intermediates.
  • Supply lead lean initiatives and continuous improvements.
  • Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting and validation protocols.
  • Propose and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions.
  • Support the implementation of new procedures and/or equipment in the Operations department.
  • Communicate with suppliers about technical issues.
  • Perform all activities independently within the department coherent with cGMP Quality System and EH&S requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including QA, QC, USP, DSP, MBP, Validation, Engineering, EH&S and WHS.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in science or engineering-based field.
  • At least 1 year industry work experience.
  • Good knowledge and working in cGMP environment.
  • Specific knowledge of relevant process unit operations and quality systems.
  • Strong organisational, scheduling and planning skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Good communication, flexibility, reliability and assertiveness.
