Our team is seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our collaborative environment.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual with experience in building and maintaining websites using WordPress as our preferred CMS. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in web development, including HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, and PHP.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Built new Wordpress Website Builds
  • Excellent knowledge of WordPress / PHP
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS 3, SASS, Vanilla JavaScript and jQuery
  • Working knowledge of Astra, Bootstrap and/or Foundation frameworks
  • Proficient in relational databases such as MySQL
  • Develop sites from scratch, from basic landing pages to more complex sites incorporating third-part REST APIs
  • Build sites from Figma designs
  • Proficient in building and integrating E-commerce sites with WooCommerce
  • Responsive design & development
  • De-bugging, Cross-browser & device testing
  • Familiarity with terminal and basic Linux commands
  • Ability to quote hours required for particular jobs
  • Experience with Git (basic commands)
  • Experience with Gravity Forms
  • Wordpress Website Management
  • Taking on a large array of different Wordpress builds
  • Ability to understand sites with minimal handover and documentation
  • Propose and execute website upgrades within existing builds
  • On-going website maintenance and optimisation
  • SSL Installation and setup
  • DNS Management skills
  • Ability to problem solve web security issues particularly with WordPress websites
  • Fixing and applying security patches and prevention measures
  • Server administration (cPanel/WHM Hosting Management/Linux)

Candidate Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1-2 years experience in similar roles
  • Experience with or exposure to working within a digital/creative agency
  • Excellent communication and personal skills and experience working directly with clients
  • Able to articulate best course of action for technical tasks and time needed to complete them
  • Punctual, able to work to deadlines & multitask on multiple projects
  • The confidence to work autonomously within a small team environment
