Network engineers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of large networks.

This position requires an individual with a strong background in network engineering, who can provide daily operational support activities including incident and problem management of the Network and Secure Gateway infrastructure for a federal government client.

The successful candidate will be a member of a team responsible for providing level 2nd and 3rd-level operational troubleshooting and management of Network and Gateway devices. The role also involves implementing projects as required, with flexibility to participate in an on-call or Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) roster.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills:

  • Cisco and HPN routing and switching knowledge, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, VRP, Policy-Based Routing, and Cisco/HPE platforms.
  • Firewalls expertise, such as Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, etc.
  • WiFi network design, analysis, and site survey experience in both commercial and mining (LTE) environments.
  • Design, implementation, and support of networking hardware that supports IT and OT networks.
  • Network troubleshooting skills, including packet capture and analysis.
  • At least 3-5 years prior experience in a network support role in a large organization.

Highly Desirable:

Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) understanding or experience.VMware NSX-T understanding or experience.Cisco ISE understanding.CCNP-level accreditation.Relevant industry certifications, including Cisco, Checkpoint, F5.
