About the RoleAs an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be an integral part of our emergency response team, working closely with experienced firefighters to respond to a range of emergency situations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responding to emergency incidents, including fires, rescues, and other critical situations
- Participating in regular training and drills to maintain and improve your skills and knowledge
- Contributing to community education and safety initiatives to promote fire safety and emergency preparedness
- Operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Maintaining the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A strong commitment to serving your community and making a positive impact in emergency situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a manual C-class driver's license
- Australian Permanent Resident Status
