Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Digital Printing Apprentice to join our team at Zeal Futures Pty. As a Digital Printing Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work with advanced printing equipment and develop your skills in digital printing.

You will complete a Certificate III in Printing (Digital) over 48 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employer, Print Media.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop design concepts and print-ready files, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client needs for both digital and offset printing.
  • Prepare and manage digital files for production, including checking integrity, transferring files across platforms, and creating imposition formats.
  • Conduct digital proofing to ensure accuracy, making necessary adjustments to guarantee the final output meets client expectations.
  • Operate and maintain advanced printing equipment, such as Xerox Iridesse digital presses, HP Latex wide-format printers, and Computer-to-Plate (CTP).
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams, managing file systems, and ensuring smooth communication from initial concept to finished product.
