Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Montania Cafe-Bar & Restaurant in Ferntree Gully. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that meet our strict standards of freshness, flavor, and presentation.
Responsibilities
- To prepare and cook food according to established recipes and food safety guidelines.
- To inspect and select high-quality ingredients to ensure freshness and flavor.
- To clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- To coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and consistent food preparation and cooking.
- To assist in the development and testing of new recipes and menu items.
Requirements
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, AQF Certificate IV, or at least three years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Indian ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
