About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an Maintenance Electrician to join our Burleigh Heads Bakery Team. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance fitters and operators to ensure that reliability and safety issues are addressed in a timely manner, enabling the achievement of operational outcomes for the site.

The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on plant and equipment within the facility, identifying and resolving equipment reliability and improvement opportunities, and working closely with operations personnel to ensure that reliability and safety issues are addressed effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
  • High level of technical and diagnostic skills including fault finding of electrical circuits and PLC programs
  • Participate in repairs and preventive maintenance of all site plant and equipment
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices
  • Assist with other duties to ensure the effective operation of the maintenance team
  • Identify and resolve equipment reliability and improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with operations personnel to ensure that reliability and safety issues are addressed effectively

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate/License
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal and written
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safety, health and the environment
