About this Role

We are seeking a reliable cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals at our aged care facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve high-quality meals that meet the needs of residents
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to strict food safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive mealtime experience for residents
  • Handle record-keeping tasks, including tracking meals served and fridge/freezer temperatures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a cook in a hygiene-controlled environment, ideally within aged care (preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum one year of experience working as a commercial cook in a controlled environment
  • Certificate II in Cookery or willingness to undertake training
  • Current National Police Certificate or ability to obtain one
