Pharmacy Services Manager

At World Courier (Aust) Pty. Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Services Manager to join our team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our clinical trial depot, ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and sign off operational jobs
- Release shipments for distribution
- Manage the change of product status both physically and systematically following client instructions and within the scope of applicable internal guidelines
- Follow and lead packaging instruction forms for secondary packaging relabeling tasks, ensuring GMP and GDP compliance
- Perform quality checks on relabeling processes in the absence of a local quality representative or when appointed by the quality department
- Have in-depth knowledge of all protocols stored at the WC Depot to provide instructions to depot staff
- Act as deputy depot pharmacist whenever required, supporting depot operational activities as applicable based on local legislation
- Ensure compliance with all government legislative and local health requirements
- Maintain and assure compliance with applicable ICH, GMP, GCP, GDP, local regulatory requirements, legal requirements, and World Courier internal guidelines
- Comply with World Courier Standard Operating Procedures, which contain specific instructions for developing depot daily activities from product reception to shipment/delivery
- Perform periodic depot self-inspections as required to ensure all facility activities align with WC SOPs
- Identify and report potential problems arising from personnel management that may conflict with working schedules
- Manage product status to ensure expired stock is moved to quarantine status
- Participate in an on-call roster 24/7 for telephone assistance and emergency response in case of temperature control concerns at the facility
- Contribute to reviewing and authoring global and local SOPs, WI's, and TRN documents
- Work in various temperature-controlled environments, including +15 to +25°C, +2 to +8°C, and -20 to -30°C
- Physically perform packing processes for inbound, outbound, and returned shipments using Cencora World Courier packaging products
- Participate in occasional scheduled weekend tasks for stock control and balance sheet processes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes
- Fully trained in Clinical ERP and willingness to learn EWP equipment operation

Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification (diploma or equivalent) and/or required training in pharmaceutical service, as per local regulations
- Prior work experience in warehousing and/or dispensing preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a management role and preferably in the clinical trial business
- Ability to lift loads up to 20kg independently using safe lifting methods described in manual handling training
- Excellent interpersonal relationships and problem-solving skills
- Self-driven and able to work autonomously with intermediate computer skills
- Understanding of imports and exports processes and statutory requirements
- Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound written and verbal communication skills with full command of English
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and variable workload demands
- Calm and customer-focused approach
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
