Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable tax professional to join our team.

This role reports to the Head of Tax and involves handling a wide range of tax matters, collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tax calculations for review by senior team members
  • Work with the tax team to ensure timely lodgements and payments in line with the tax lodgement program
  • Carry out reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues
  • Test tax controls in accordance with our risk management framework
  • Assist with Regulatory reviews by authorities as relevant
  • Collaborate with the business on rate changes announced due to legislative changes or budget processes
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or a related field
  • Experience in a similar role within financial services, advising on Australian tax matters
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Knowledge and experience of income tax as it applies to life insurance (preferred)
