Classroom Teacher Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to teach and inspire students in a high-performing school with a strong focus on student wellbeing and academic excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;
  • Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program within the school;
  • Undertaking other classroom teaching related duties as determined by the Principal;
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Experience in responding to student learning needs;
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact of learning programs on student growth;
  • Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning;
  • Interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values;
Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must have current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and demonstrated experience in teaching Japanese.
