Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Bakery Associate to join our team at Costco North Lakes in Brisbane. As a Bakery Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other sweet treats.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other sweet treats.
- Check cake order stands for special orders and pull stock from freezers or coolers as needed.
- De-pans, garnish, and package baked cheesecakes, seasonal pies, and fruit tarts.
- Check production schedules for daily needs and process cakes according to assembly instructions in the Cake Decorating Manual.
- Assist with other bakery duties as needed, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service.
- Comparable cake decorating experience is required.
- Piping skills are highly regarded.
- All decoration is done by soft creams - no fondant or sculpting required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
