Wurli Wurlinjang Health Service is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join their team as a Family Home Visitor. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the Aboriginal community in Katherine, providing culturally safe and effective healthcare services.
About the RoleThe Family Home Visitor Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing home visits to eligible women and their families, building and maintaining relationships based on trust, support, and growth. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous societies and culture, as well as experience working in a community health setting.
Key Responsibilities- Providing culturally safe home visits to women and their families
- Building and maintaining relationships based on trust, support, and growth
- Acquiring knowledge and skills to implement the program successfully
- Delivering content at home visits in a way that maintains alignment with client-centered principles
- AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Nursing
- At least two years previous clinical experience (Nurse or RAHP)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies and culture
