Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Jenrick Engineering. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility and retail premises in Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support to the projects team and respond to breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow established Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and support initiatives to improve efficiencies and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Maintenance Manager to ensure that maintenance issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and implement proactive maintenance strategies to minimize equipment downtime and optimize production plans.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure that all engineering works are completed promptly, efficiently, and to the required standard.

Requirements:

  • Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer or equivalent experience.
  • Electrical qualifications, including 17th/18th edition as a minimum.
  • Previous experience working in a food manufacturing business is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Full UK driving license.
