At Sodexo, we are seeking an experienced Village Operations Manager to join our team in the Western Downs Region. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of Village Services within the client contract, ensuring the effective operation of a company village.
The successful candidate will have 4 years of managerial experience in hospitality or facility management and strong people management and project management skills. You will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check, and hold a current Manual Driver's license.
This is a 14-day on, 7-day off rotation for 11 hours. Previous experience working in remote sites is preferred, but candidates with outstanding management skills within hospitality and strong stakeholder management skills will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities- Manage staffing in consultation with the Operations Manager
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for clients and other departments as necessary
- Collaborate with maintenance managers to ensure compliance with client and manufacturer specifications
- Regularly review housing procedures to ensure work safety and environmental protection measures are in place
- Identify and deliver on-site training requirements in line with company policy and legislative requirements
- Oversee disciplinary action for village staff in cooperation with the Operations Manager
- Promote, implement, and assist in coordinating Sodexo's reward and benefit programs
- Conduct OHS Toolbox Talks, exercises, drills, meetings, and Pre-starts to meet Company, regulatory agency, and client expectations
