Seeking a Community Mental Health Clinician to provide comprehensive clinical mental health services to individuals with mental illness or disorder.

As a key member of the Lithgow Community Mental Health Team, you will work collaboratively with consumers and carers to deliver recovery-oriented care.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and intervention. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mental health assessments and diagnoses
  • Development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Collaboration with consumers and carers to achieve recovery goals

Requirements include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and including eligibility for membership of relevant professional body &/or full registration (if applicable) with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision
  • Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified
