Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced classroom teacher to join our team at Woodmans Hill Secondary College. As a classroom teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering programs to achieve specific student outcomes.

The successful candidate will have the ability to integrate literacy and numeracy skills, as well as respond to student learning needs. They will also have experience in monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.

Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver programs to achieve specific student outcomes
  • Integrate literacy and numeracy skills into teaching programs
  • Monitor and assess student learning
  • Use data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community

Requirements:

  • Valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
  • Qualifications in education or related field
  • Experience in teaching literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community
