We are seeking an organised and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Warranty Administrator. This role is perfect for those looking to advance their career within the Automotive industry, or for truck or car technicians ready to transition away from hands-on work.
**The Role**
This position involves efficiently tracking warranty payments, reconciling receivables, and processing warranty claims in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for compiling warranty claim documentation and verifying submission criteria required by factory or distributor.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Efficiently and accurately track warranty payments within the department
- Reconcile all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule
- Process and submit warranty claims in a timely manner and in line with warranty policy and procedures
- Compile warranty claim documentation in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Verify submission criteria required by factory or distributor
- Post credits into the dealer management system
- Follow up on payment of outstanding claims
- Control warranty parts by ensuring all parts are tagged with mandatory OEM required information, filing, and storing of parts in systematic order
**Requirements**
- Previous experience working in a Warranty Administration, Technician, Parts, or Service Advisor role within a dealership environment is preferred
- Understanding of Warranty policies and procedures
- Ability to interpret technical information relating to automotive products
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office suite
- Proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Strong organisational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
