Medical Typist

About the Role

Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology is seeking a highly skilled Medical Typist to join their dynamic team in Lismore. As a Medical Typist, you will be responsible for registering patient information, accurately inputting specimen documentation, and communicating with medical providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Register patient information into the Apollo Laboratory Information Management System (LIS)
• Accurately input and correctly correlate specimen documentation, related patient or test information, and the macroscopic and microscopic transcription of results into the LIS within the appropriate time frame
• Liaise with referring medical providers to verify and communicate information regarding reports or patient episodes
• Answer general inquiries from patients and clinicians and manage procedural bookings
• Perform administrative tasks and maintenance of patient filing system

• Proven ability to work as part of a professional team in a fast-paced environment
• Proven commitment to the provision of quality customer services
