Job Overview

We are seeking an Associate to join our Project Finance team in our Sydney office. As an Associate, you will apply good judgment and excellent analytical skills to your work, working closely with top-tier lenders and sponsors in connection with project, corporate and acquisition financing mandates in the energy infrastructure and resources sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting for top-tier lenders and sponsors in connection with project, corporate and acquisition financing mandates;
  • Assisting in the closure of project, corporate and acquisition financing transactions;
  • Supporting the coordination of internal teams across the White & Case global offices to achieve closure of project, corporate and acquisition financing transactions;
  • Managing external counsels in respect of local jurisdiction legal issues;
  • Managing small teams to provide timely assistance/advice to clients;
Requirements
  • PQE 2-4;
  • Experience in general banking finance, broad exposure preferable consisting of a combination of project, corporate and acquisition finance, syndicated and bilateral financings (both secured and unsecured);
  • A good knowledge of international finance law and the analytical skill to navigate the contractual intricacies of complex, cross-border transactions;
  • Highly organized and deadline-focused;
  • Adept at managing multiple work streams and delivering flawless work within short timeframes;
  • Personable and works as part of a team;
  • Adept at building professional relationships with colleagues, clients and outside parties;
  • Self-motivated and proactive;
