About this Role

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a skilled HR professional to join an organisation within the education sector, renowned for its commitment to excellence and community impact.

This fixed-term contract will see you working on site - Monday to Friday, as a trusted advisor supporting Department Heads and leaders across a broad range of HR and people-related matters. There is potential for the role to become permanent, offering a fantastic career pathway for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generalist HR Support
    • Provide generalist HR support and advice to line managers across a variety of departments
  • People Matters
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day people matters, including performance, policy interpretation, and employee relations
  • Recruitment Activities
    • Assist the recruitment team with end-to-end recruitment activities, including job briefs, advertising, screening, and on-boarding
  • HR Process Improvement
    • Support with continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience initiatives
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an individual who possesses the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven Experience
    • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within complex or service-driven organisations
  • Collaborative Mindset
    • A collaborative and proactive mindset with a strong customer service approach
  • Effective Communication
    • Confident communicator who builds effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Australian Employment Legislation
    • Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation
  • Relevant Qualifications
    • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources or related field
