Job Opportunity

A dynamic and experienced Venue Manager is required to lead a team in delivering exceptional customer experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a seasonal facility, its staff, and the local community.

The ideal candidate will develop and execute plans through engagement with stakeholders and drive the centre's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes and procedures.
  • Leadership Development: Coach and develop leaders to deliver on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through engagement, performance planning and individual development plans.
  • Culture and Engagement: Lead and drive a high-performance, community-minded culture through visible, hands-on leadership and team engagement.
  • Performance Targets: Achieve budgeted performance targets.
  • Council Relationship: Maintain a high-value relationship with the local Council.
  • Customer Service: Implement a high-value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client base.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit energetic, diverse and passionate employees to complement the team and train staff to ensure knowledge and capability are at the required levels.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: Experience in managing or leading in a similar leisure or aquatic facility.
  • Communication: Highly developed communication skills with the ability to positively influence and negotiate win-win outcomes.
  • Health and Safety: Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Operational Planning: Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.
  • Certifications: Current CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate (Level 2), National Police Check, Working with Vulnerable People and Legal working rights in Australia.
