Senior DevOps Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering project-based and business-as-usual services to customers.

About the Role

This varied position will span everything from managing existing customer systems, ensuring systems and services are secure and developing new environments using an infrastructure-as-code approach to assist the development team with test environments and continuous testing and integration solutions.

You will be working closely with the broader Development and TechOps teams to deliver reliable, robust and secure platforms for internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage existing customer systems and ensure system security
  • Develop new environments using an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Assist the development team with test environments and continuous testing and integration solutions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure platform
  • Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and tooling for web hosting
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code technologies, particularly Terraform
  • Kubernetes experience and experience with orchestration solutions such as Rancher
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, ideally Bash, Python and Ruby
  • Experience with deployment via CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitLab
