Health and Wellness Advisor

This role involves conducting thorough assessments of candidates, providing therapeutic interventions, and facilitating groups to help them achieve their goals.

The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to develop and implement effective strategies to overcome barriers to employment, ensuring clients receive the best possible support to succeed in the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of candidates with a range of disabilities and barriers to employment.
  • Offer counseling intervention as needed, utilizing various psychological methodologies.
  • Refer candidates to additional external support services to address barriers.
  • Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor case progression.
  • Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on psychological services and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in psychology or counselling.
  • Eligibility for registration with APHRA or membership with ACA/PACFA.
  • Experience working within employment services highly regarded but not essential.
  • Knowledge of psychology assessment/intervention strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills, and engagement.
  • Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports.
  • Ability to work towards generating positive outcomes for clients.
