Job DescriptionThis role presents a rare chance to work on a cutting-edge project that will deliver an essential sovereign capability for Australia. As a Systems Engineering Technical Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all system requirements are accurately captured, documented, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Capture, document, and maintain system requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication between engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and met.
- Ensure all requirements comply with defence standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements in requirements management processes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and reports on requirements status.
- Participate in compliance audits and ensure adherence to standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to resolve requirements-related issues and gather feedback.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A professional certification in Requirements Management or Systems Engineering (e.g., INCOSE CSEP).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in requirements management within the defence or a related industry.
- A strong understanding of systems engineering principles and requirements management processes.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with defence industry standards and regulatory requirements.
