Job Summary:

UWorkin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Perinatal Psychologist to join our team at Northern Australia's largest tertiary hospital. As a key member of our maternal services team, you will provide bereavement care, psychological assessment, and intervention to patients regarding women's reproductive health concerns and decisions about termination of pregnancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidenced-based psychological clinical services to patients within interprofessional teams.
  • Contribute to the advancement of quality psychological services and optimal patient care through service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
  • Monitor and report on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning, and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives.
  • Provide supervision and training to less experienced clinicians, students, and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements:

  • Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited four-year qualification in Psychology.
  • Eligibility for provisional or general registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychology Board of Australia (Psych BA).
  • Possession of a C class driver licence.
  • Compliance with Queensland Health Policy on Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD).
