Job Overview

The role of Operations Manager is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations at a UPS hub. This position demands exceptional leadership skills, effective communication, and meticulous attention to detail.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the ability to analyze load forecast volume projections, review daily operational reports, and collaborate with hub and feeder management to optimize productivity and performance.

  • Foster open communication across functions to ensure equipment maintenance.
  • Support staffing and pre-sort planning initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate package sorting and loading procedures.
  • Collaborate with feeder and dispatch operations to guarantee loads for large accounts are sorted and built according to service agreements.
  • Evaluate employee training needs to develop continuous development plans.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address individual and group performance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain thorough records and utilize details, facts, and information to plan and complete tasks effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with union representatives to enhance employee engagement and minimize conflicts.
  • Monitor results of tests to guarantee adherence to applicable safety regulations and agencies.
