About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting patient meals in a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by providing exceptional care and service.

The Catering Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality food and service. You will work collaboratively with our team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to strict food safety guidelines at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and presenting patient meals
  • Meal delivery to wards and collection
  • Demonstrate adaptability by taking on various tasks and responsibilities as needed
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation
  • Following all Food and Safety procedures
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in hospital or aged care catering or a genuine desire to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability and willingness to work within a mental health centre site
  • Ability to prepare and serve food items in accordance with strict food safety guidelines
  • Ability to work independently, following training and guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Discreet and respectful manner when interacting with patients and colleagues
  • High level of personal presentation and hygiene standards
  • Flexibility to work shifts during weekdays and weekends
