Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our team in Cessnock Urgent Care Service. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing support and ensure all patients receive appropriate care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing patient care for injuries or illnesses.
- Perform wound care, administer medications, and provide patient education.
- Ensure patient care activities are within scope of practice and comply with ForHealth policies and procedures.
- Support patient services, including greeting and assisting patients, monitoring appointment books, and updating registration details as required.
- Provide guidance on inclusion and exclusion criteria over the phone as needed.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked clinical area and complete administrative tasks such as Medicare billing and coding.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency settings, focusing on acute injury and illness management, and fast-track patient flow.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
