Job Title: Glazier/Installer

We are seeking skilled professionals to fill a crucial role in our company. This position involves working with glass and aluminium components to create high-quality materials.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including the ability to read and understand technical fabrication documents, determine the type and dimensions of glass required, and assemble finished glass and aluminium components.

A Certificate III in Glazing and 2 years of relevant work experience are preferred, but individuals without a qualification but with significant work experience may also be considered.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Reading and understanding technical fabrication documents
  • Determining type and dimensions of glass required
  • Measuring and marking glass for cutting
  • Examining glass and marking any defective areas
  • Breaking off sheets and excess glass with notched tools and glass pliers
  • Smothing rough edges using belt sanders and smoothing wheels
  • Coating, cutting, etching, trimming and treating glass to achieve special effects
  • Assembling finished glass and aluminium components
  • Following critical quality assurance, customer service and OH&S protocols

Requirements:

Able to read and understand technical documentation

Ability to lift heavy objects (glass and equipment)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Familiarity with logístical information sheets and construction blueprints
