Role Overview:
The Payroll and Remunerations Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely administration of pay and entitlements for staff at the City of Ballarat.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory and Council requirements. You will also develop and maintain a Payroll Users' Manual including end-to-end work instructions.
You will provide advice to HR Advisors, Line Managers and Supervisors on payroll workflow processes and procedures, draft procedures and forms relating to payroll management under the direction of the Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
- Comply with statutory and Council requirements.
- Develop and maintain a Payroll Users' Manual including end-to-end work instructions.
- Provide advice to HR Advisors, Line Managers and Supervisors on payroll workflow processes and procedures.
- Draft procedures and forms relating to payroll management under the direction of the Manager.
- Assist the Manager in analysing, reviewing and improving payroll processes and undertaking system maintenance.
