Senior Mechanical Engineering Professional

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineering Professional to join our project delivery team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and ensuring quality in the delivery of mechanical engineering deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical guidance and expertise to ensure that designs meet specifications, are cost-effective, reliable, and have a low environmental impact.
  • Mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers to support their professional development.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Contributing to design review workshops and quality checks.
  • Fostering a culture of safe delivery, continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Minimum 12 years' direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF).
  • Demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all aspects of mechanical engineering and design.
  • Proven experience of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals/agricultural sectors.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
