About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated carer to join our team at HammondCare Horsley. As a Permanent Part Time Carer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents with dementia.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for running the cottage like a home, which includes:

  • Providing personal care, such as showering, grooming, toileting, and dressing
  • Assisting with domestic tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry
  • Engaging with residents, ensuring they participate in activities that bring them joy
  • Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions within your skillset and competencies
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A genuine passion for serving elderly people and making a positive impact on their lives
  • Flexibility to commit to a range of shifts, including nights and weekends
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence and initiative
  • Knowledge and experience working with people living with dementia and their unique needs
  • Applicants with Cert III or Cert IV in Aged Care will be viewed favorably
