Warehouse Storeperson Job Opportunity

Rapidly growing private business seeks a talented team player with strong interpersonal skills to fill the role of Warehouse Storeperson. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all incoming and outgoing goods via the warehouse to project locations.

The Role:

This exciting opportunity involves picking, packing, receiving, dispatch, side loader forklift operation, stock control, and logistics coordination. Additionally, you will be involved in production/assembly/fabrication works and quality assurance required for APS projects. You may need to deliver goods to site for Sydney projects and liaise with the logistics coordinator and other operations personnel.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Completing daily warehousing activities including receiving goods from suppliers, ensuring they are undamaged and match the orders placed.
  2. Identifying potential warehouse/stock improvements.
  3. Stock administration, including entering new stock on the computer register and coding goods.
  4. Stocking shelves, ensuring the safe storage of goods.
  5. Picking orders that are due to be dispatched to customers.
  6. Ensuring goods are delivered to customers on time, undamaged, and obtaining signatures as proof of delivery.
  7. Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse environment at all times.
  8. A strong commitment to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  9. Supporting the projects team to continually reduce costs where possible.

About You:

  • You must have unrestricted Australian working rights and hold an Australian Class C driver's license.
  • A Forklift license and use of Side Loader Forklift is also essential.
  • You should have experience working in a similar role or industry and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to lift up to 25kgs and physically capable of performing tasks throughout the day.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and contemporary freight/accounting software.
  • Practical, self-motivated, and approachable with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
