Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced English Teacher and Curriculum Leader to join our team at St George Christian School. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching English to secondary students and leading the curriculum development for the subject area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach English to secondary students, including VCE English and Literature
  • Lead the curriculum development for English, including designing and implementing curriculum programs
  • Collaborate with other Curriculum Leaders and Leadership to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences
  • Prepare and conduct classes, inspiring and fostering a love and appreciation of learning in English
  • Demonstrate excellence and adopt a proactive, innovative approach to adapting instruction and lessons based on individual student needs

Requirements

  • Desire to teach in an environment where both Christian values and the development of the whole child are valued
  • Experience in teaching secondary and VCE students (year 7-12) at a senior level
  • Leadership skills with passion for English teaching
  • Ability to collaborate with other Curriculum Leaders and Leadership to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences
  • Ability to prepare for and conduct classes, inspiring and fostering a love and appreciation of learning in English
  • Demonstrate excellence and adopt a proactive, innovative approach to adapting instruction and lessons based on individual student needs
