At Randstad, we are seeking exceptional Project Officers with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to work on various government contracts.
We offer a competitive salary of AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits.
Job DescriptionAs a Project Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing government policies, procedures, and guidelines to provide recommendations for improvement and change management. You will also liaise with stakeholders to ensure scope and objectives are undertaken collaboratively, including negotiating and responding to critical issues, actions, and changes that are required.
You will lead and manage projects and their implementation, establish advisory groups and committees for intergovernmental relations, and write reports and other government documents, including ministerials, briefings, and cabinet submissions.
Key Responsibilities- Policies and Procedures: Review government policies, procedures, and guidelines to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with stakeholders to ensure scope and objectives are met, including negotiating and responding to critical issues, actions, and changes.
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects and their implementation, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Reporting: Write reports and other government documents, including ministerials, briefings, and cabinet submissions.
- Sound Knowledge: Sound knowledge of state government policies and Machinery of Government.
- Communication: Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: High-level analytical skills to identify, evaluate, and address issues and plan and manage tasks, research, and associated data with due regard to policy and political imperatives.
