Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team as a key member of the maintenance crew. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team to achieve high standards of work, safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the lead mechanical fitter onsite, responsible for the ongoing mechanical maintenance of our assets.
  • Provide input as a subject matter expert during project upgrades while also receiving training in Dam Safety Surveillance and other specific structure operations.
  • Operational maintenance tasks aligned with the preventative maintenance program.
  • Ongoing reporting and ensuring documentation is accurate.
  • Capture and store data for the maintenance management system and other related service systems as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate with industrial experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining critical, major asset classes.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and hardworking culture.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other WaterNSW sites to assist with asset maintenance.
  • Current NSW driver's licence.

  • A starting salary range from $84,967 + Super.
  • A 8-day fortnight, core hours are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday.
