Boral is seeking a dedicated Workers Compensation and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team in Sydney. This crucial role is responsible for the efficient management of workers' compensation claims and injury prevention across all Boral business units in SA.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Workers Compensation and Wellbeing, providing strategic advice on risk management and implementing effective injury management processes. Your day will involve:

  • Developing and executing strategies to reduce workers' compensation costs by managing active claims and providing high-level advice on work-related injury management.
  • Participating in claim review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creating and implementing Return-to-Work (RTW) plans in consultation with relevant parties.
  • Maintaining confidential case notes in accordance with relevant legislation and privacy principles.
  • Assisting with the implementation of Boral's pre-employment medical assessment process.
  • Ensuring Boral meets its SA workers' compensation self-insurance license requirements.
  • Overseeing the management of litigated claims in collaboration with the Claims Manager and Head of Workers Compensation & Wellbeing.
  • Designing processes to enhance early intervention and rehabilitation, aiming for safe and durable return-to-work outcomes.

We're looking for someone with:

  • An Allied Health Qualification and relevant SA Accredited Return to Work Coordinator certification.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Claims Management, Injury Management, or Rehabilitation roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of SA workers' compensation legislation, preferably in a self-insured environment.
  • Experience in managing litigated claims.
